As the organisers of FHC China, the leading trade exhibition in China for imported food and drink, we are pleased to announce the launch of Beer China!
The imported beer market in China has grown dramatically in the last few years. By volume the market grew by 66% in 2013 and 91% in 2014 and is currently valued at over US$ 400 million. The leading exporters of beers to China are: Germany with 59% of the market, followed by Belgium 7%; Netherlands 4.7%; Mexico 4.4%; France 4%; USA 3.8%; Korea 3.6%; Thailand 2.4%; Spain 2.2%; Taiwan 1.35% and others 7.2%.
There is a considerable lack of knowledge of imported beers in China but strong demand to learn. Alongside the exhibition we will be hosting a series of beer seminars and tastings including: The 1st International Beer Tasting Master Class organised by Bevex.
This is an opportunity exclusive to exhibitors of Beer China to enter their beers for tasting by a panel of Brew Masters and Chinese beverage experts. The panel of beer experts will taste at the same time as delegates and offer information and guidance on up to 10 beers per session.
The beer panel will instruct on the following categories:
• Ingredients
• Production Method
• National Characteristics
• Storage
• Best Serving Temperature
• Taste & Colour
• Food Pairing
(This is a learning and education exercise, so the beers will not be compared against each other)
